From the Lincoln Navigator. When most cars just change up the font to red/green , or have a small icon show up .
It’s in the Aviator as well
Of course, it’s only possible in cars with a full digital instrument panel. Now how many of those cuistomers will even select some modes such as Deep Sand/Mud is a different question. Still, pretty cool looking.

I can see it now:
65+ y.o. couple on their way to their favorite diner for the Early Bird Special now that they are finished with the scheduled service at the dealer.
21 y.o. tech pulls up to the courtesy desk with the Navigator, clean with new car smell. And just before, finishing a “test drive” on a dusty trail in Deep Sand/Mud setting.
Owner notes that stepping up into the SUV as feeling higher than normal, but quickly forgets about it.
Pulls up to diner, opens the vehicle doors, and the couple misses the step out and falls to the ground, breaking their pelvis.
Hilarity ensues (also a lawsuit)!

This is both cool and ridiculous at the same time. To think that somebody put all this effort into pretty graphics that frankly don’t need to be pretty.

This would make more sense in the raptor or ranger than a navigator. Who’s off-roading one of those?

Even worse is when the 70 yr old decides to put their yu ge SUV into “Excite” mode on the drive home from Sunday church and gets the wrong impression .
“BARBARA !!!!! GET MY VIAGRA!!!!” *dies of heart attack*

Raptor is rugged utilitarian functionality end of the day. It’s all about the premium feel, perhaps gimmicky even. Most folks would leave it in normal, p erhaps snow mode when they go on a trail to their cabin at their favorite ski resort. The navigator and aviator customers will be rich retired suburbanites.

I love these animations and what Lincoln did stylistically. The whole gauge cluster is gorgeous.
